Olajumoke Oreoluwa Akinremi, a Data Scientist with a Master’s degree in Data Science, has strengthened youth capacity in Nigeria’s growing tech ecosystem through her recently concluded Virtual Data Analysis Training Programme, which she hosted between January and February 2026.
The initiative equipped participants with practical analytical skills designed for application across finance, healthcare, and business sectors. The training focused on hands-on data cleaning, visualization, spreadsheet modeling, and dashboard reporting.
“The goal was to ensure participants could confidently analyze data and translate insights into real business decisions,” Akinremi said, emphasizing practical competence and industry readiness.
The programme aligns with the mission of Havilah Grace Foundation, where she serves as CEO. One of the foundation’s core objectives is youth empowerment through technology skills development, positioning data analysis as an accessible entry point into the digital economy.
Building on the success of the first cohort, Akinremi announced that the next Data Analysis Training Programme will commence in June 2026, continuing efforts to bridge Nigeria’s digital skills gap and prepare young professionals for data-driven careers.
In addition to her training initiatives, Akinremi is the author of Modern Day Approach to Data Analysis, published on Amazon KDP. The guidebook provides beginners with a structured introduction to data analysis, covering essential technical tools as well as the various technical and non-technical career paths available within the data ecosystem.
