Thank You For Giving Us Land To Build A General Hospital, Gov Otti Tells King Chibuzor Chinyere

Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti,OFR has expressed his gratitude to the Founder and General Overseer Omega Power Ministries (OPM) and King of Ikwuorie Ohanku Autonomous community, His Royal Majesty King Apostle Dr Chibuzor Gift Chinyere for donating over 100 plots of land for the building of Ukwa East Specialist hospital in Ikwuorie Ohanku Ndoki.

Gov. Otti stated this on Thursday in Ikwuorie Ohanku during the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of the first Ukwa East General Hospital at Ikwuorie Ohanku Ndoki.

The Governor thanked King Chinyere for all his efforts and contributions to humanity.

” I just want to thank His Royal Majesty for receiving us and for donating to the state a beffiting piece of land for the hospital project” Gov Otti Stated

Performing the ground breaking ceremony, the Governor said that the project is a fulfillment of his administration’s commitment to providing quality healthcare to every nook and cranny of the state and make healthcare delivery accessible to all Abians.

King Apostle Dr Chibuzor Gift Chinyere has made a huge sacrifice by donating 100 plots of land for the building of General Hospital in his community without bothering his community or collecting their land.

” As a king, I did not use my power to collect community land and hand over to the government to build state of the art General Hospital. I sacrifice my personal land where my palm oil is located because I strongly believe that the general hospital that will save the life of my people is more important than my personal business”

The monarch has also cited several projects in his community such as building a state of the art free school, Free specialist hospital, reconstruction of Ikwuorie comprehensive secondary school Ohanku and personally intervened for the restoration of Power supply in not only Ohanku but also in Ukwa East through high tension.

The establishment of this general hospital addresses a long failure in the only health center in Ohanku which has been occupied by grass and dangerous snakes.

Before the approval of this general hospital where the Governor performed the ground breaking today, the only available and accessible healthcare facility is the only hospital built by King Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, Founder and General Overseer Omega Power Ministries and the King of the community which is OPM free specialist hospitals. He has built this hospital even before he became the King of Ikwuorie Autonomous community.

King Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere thanked the Governor for the project he was bringing to the community.

King Chinyere also Made some requests to Gov Otti such as extension of Ohanku road construction to Ohanku village, Provision of prepaid meters in all the households in Ohanku, release of transformers to the community and building of State Smart School in Ikwuorie Comprehensive secondary school Ohanku.
Responding Gov Otti said he has noted all the requests and assured him of his full implementation.

” Your Royal Majesty I thank you for your generous comments. I can assure you that your requests are in order. The scooping work has commenced from the end point of the reconstructed and commissioned Ohanku road, Aba leading into the Ohanku community in Ukwa East LGA “

King Apostle Chinyere further highlights the benefits of the general hospital which will attract developments such as pharmacies, hotels, filling stations, Eateries, supermarkets and also generate employment to the people of Ohanku.

The former Senate president, Senator Adolphus Wabara commended Governor Otti for prioritizing healthcare infrastructure above political party and political linings and commended the Governor’s holistic approach to healthcare delivery and said that history will remember his administration kindly. He said that the hospital Will undoubtedly serve as a lifeline – reducing maternal and infant mortality, enhancing emergency response, strengthening delivery and restoring confidence in public institutions.
Also speaking, the Hon commissioner of Information who is the son of the soil, Prince Kanu described the event as a defining moment for the people of Ndoki. He thanked the Governor for the project and said that the project is a testament of the people’s centred administration of the Governor, adding that the hospital will not just be a building, but also a catalyst for healings with the developments that the project would attract to the community.

Also speaking, the member representating Ukwa East and West Federal Constituency , Hon Chris Nkwonta appreciated Governor Alex Otti for breaking the jinx and flagging off such a gigantic project which is the First General Hospital in Ukwa East since the creation of the State.

According to Hon Nkwonta this is the first time since 1999 a Governor is coming to Ukwa East to flag off a project

The federal law maker further requested the Governor to think about what he can do for the abandoned Abia Palm as well as what could be done for the Azumini Rivers among other things.

The ceremony attracted the presence of the former Deputy Governor, Sir Ude Oko chukwu, Ambassador Okey Emuchay, Chief Onuoha David Ogba (Bourdex), Mayor of Ukwa East LGA, Hon Chibunna Akara, Mayor of Ukwa West LGA, Pastor Lucky Dike, Traditional Rulers, Women Groups, and the senior Government functionaries.
