Okpebholo Condemns Attack on ADC Members

Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has condemned the recent attack on members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing it as an escalation of internal party conflict. In a statement, he expressed sympathy for the affected members and emphasized that Edo State’s peaceful environment should not be exploited for violence.

Okpebholo affirmed his commitment to maintaining peace and security in the state, stating that politics should focus on performance and engagement with the populace. He urged residents to remain calm and uphold peace, and warned opposition groups to resolve internal disputes before organizing public events.

The governor also called on security agencies to monitor political gatherings and prevent escalation, reaffirming his administration’s dedication to safeguarding lives and property.
