The Police Service Commission (PSC) and the Police have warned that any applicant found engaging in fraudulent activities during the recruitment of 50,000 constables would be arrested and prosecuted.
They also cautioned candidates to remain vigilant against online impostors, scammers, and other criminal elements who might attempt to exploit the recruitment process.
The commission, however, announced that physical and credential screening for candidates who successfully completed the online registration process would take place between March 9 and April 18, 2026 across the federation.
In a statement, PSC Spokesman, Torty Njoku Kalu, urged applicants to log in to the recruitment portal to verify their status and print the necessary documents.
“These must be presented at the screening venues on the date and time indicated in their invitation slips. The portal also provides a complete list of items to be presented during the exercise.
“Screening will be conducted at designated locations within each state and the Federal Capital Territory, as specified on the printed invitation slips,” Kalu revealed.
The PSC Chairman, Hashimu Salihu Argungu, emphasised that the recruitment exercise was entirely free of charge, with no pecuniary obligations required of applicants.
He assured them that the process would be conducted according to the highest standards of transparency and accountability.
