DMCA Rolls Out PCRD Hydraulic Energy Solution to Nigeria

The DMCA Energy Nigeria Limited has rolled out its “Principle of Converted Regenerative Device” (PCRD) sustainable and renewable energy solution that could guarantee uninterrupted electricity supply to subscribers for 35 years at a lower tariff.

The Inventor of the PCRD machine, Mr. Christopher Amabi, announced this at a media briefing held yesterday in Lagos.

Amabi, who is also the chief executive officer of DMCA, declared that the PCRD was the answer to Nigeria’s perennial electricity crisis.

According to him, the machine has been in Nigeria since 2024, and has been examined and certified by the Faculty of Engineering, University of Lagos, and the Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON).

He said that the machine runs on hydraulic liquid and could supply between 50 kilowatts and 10,000 megawatts of power, depending on an individual’s power needs.

He disclosed that 100 units of the PCRD machine are available in Nigeria and would be given to the first 100 subscribers who sign the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with DMCA.

Amabi further said one of the unique features of the PCRD was that users would not need to pay to acquire the machine as they do to own generators or solar energy facilities, adding that the machine does not need to be fueled like diesel or petrol generators.

He also said the machine was noiseless and does not produce emissions.

Amabi explained: “The PCRD machine is all about conversion. It is being powered by hydraulic liquid.

“It is designed that the liquid does not combust but produces force that is harnessed to deliver energy, which is basically the principle behind this technology.

“It is also designed so that the liquid does not get exhausted but recycles on its own like a self-loop system.”

He said that the idea behind the PCRD machine was incubated in 2001 and the first prototype of the machine was done in 2009 in Abuja.

“The second prototype was done in South Africa in 2019, and it has been working in South Africa since 2019.”

Amabi said, “The reason I am calling this press conference is that we want to roll out this machine to the entire country.

“We are letting Nigerians know that we have a solution to the country’s energy problem.

“We are looking for the first 100 people who will offtake our machines, and they are not going to pay for them. But subsequent subscribers will know that nothing comes for free.

“We want the public to know that an energy solution has come to Nigeria.

“We are looking for industries, businesses that can take at least 50 kilowatts of energy.  When we bring our machine to your premises, we are bringing a two-in-one unit to provide a back-up system.

“We have power failure in Nigeria because there is no back-up system. The lifespan of our machine is 35 years.”

He said the Lagos State government has seen and examined the machine. Based on the advice of Lagos State government, we approached the Faculty of Engineering, University of Lagos, which has studied the principles behind the machine and gave us their certification.

“The LASG also asked us to go to the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), which we have done and have gotten the SON’s certification,” Amabi said.

Responding to his presentation, the National President of NACCIMA, Dr. Jani Ibrahim, who is also an engineer, said anybody who could solve Nigeria’s energy problem has brought liberation to the country.

Ibrahim added: “But to ensure that the public is not misinformed, what we will like to do is that you should go through NACCIMA’s proof of concept so that the platform of NACCIMA can confirm and vouch for your machine before pushing the information to the general public.”
