NIESV Welcomes New Fellow- ESV Nkeiruka Comfort Arum, FNIVS, FCA, FICA

The Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) has formally inducted ESV Nkeiruka Comfort Arum, FNIVS, FCA, FICA, recognizing her distinguished professional contributions to the institution, the built environment, and broader public service.
ESV Arum, a multidisciplinary professional with a rich blend of expertise in estate management, finance, urban development, and leadership, now joins the esteemed fellowship of NIESV as part of the cohort being inducted at the 2026 fellowship induction ceremony at Abuja on the 5th of February, 2026.

ESV Nkeiruka Comfort Arum has built a reputation across sectors through decades of service in blue-chip and multinational organisations. She currently serves as the inaugural Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the New Enugu City Development Agency, a critical agency established to drive planned urban expansion and modern city development in Enugu State. This agency was created through visionary state legislation to manage and expand the New Enugu City project, addressing urban congestion and land administration challenges.

Her career spans diverse assignments and strategic leadership roles blending finance, real estate, credit administration, and professional governance. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and a Fellow of the National Institute of Credit Administration, adding rare multidisciplinary depth to her skill set. Arum is also a Member of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria, reflecting her command of financial regulations and standards.

Academic and Professional Credentials
Arum’s academic foundation began with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Estate Management from the University of Nigeria (1988). She further advanced her academic profile with a Postgraduate Diploma in Banking and Finance (University of Nigeria, 1994) and, most recently, a Master of Science in Real Estate Planning from Heriot-Watt University (2024) — underscoring her lifelong commitment to education and professional excellence.

In addition to her formal degrees, ESV Arum has been active in both local and international professional forums, where she has attended and facilitated conferences, workshops, and specialized courses, reinforcing her influence as a thought leader in estate surveying, urban development, and financial planning.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Arum is noted for her love of reading and travel interests that complement her global perspective on planning and development. She balances her thriving career with a fulfilling family life, being happily married with children.
