Atunlo Sustech Pilots CarbonScope360 Following Approval of Nigeria’s Carbon Trading Framework

Atunlo Sustech has begun a pilot of CarbonScope360, a carbon measurement and data initiative, following the recent approval of Nigeria’s carbon trading framework.

The pilot, involving selected corporate participants, marks Atunlo Sustech’s expansion into climate technology as regulatory structures for carbon markets are put in place.

CarbonScope360 is designed to support emissions tracking, avoided-emissions measurement, and carbon data readiness across circular economy and related value chains.

The move reflects growing interest among companies in preparing operational data for compliance, disclosure, and potential participation in regulated carbon markets.

Speaking on the pilot, Ayo Ogunlowo, co-founder and COO of Atunlo Sustech, said the initiative is aimed at improving efficiency and transparency in how climate-related data is generated and used within the economy.

More information available on www.atunlotech.com indicates that
Atunlo Sustech’s climate technology work builds on its existing recycling operations.

The company has recovered more than 150 million plastic bottles, paying out over ₦1.1 billion through its collection network.

That operational footprint provides underlying activity and data that can be translated into carbon measurement and reporting as the market develops.

CarbonScope360 focuses on linking real economic activity to verifiable carbon data, aligning operational systems with emerging regulatory expectations under Nigeria’s carbon trading framework.
