In line with its commitment to inclusive development, the Akpoazaa Foundation on December 25, 2025 has launched a multi-sector women empowerment initiative in Okija, Anambra State, targeting income security, enterprise development, and healthcare access.

The programme, unveiled by Dr. Frank Igbojindu, Group Managing Director of Akpoazaa Group, saw the induction of eleven (11) aged women into a monthly salary allowance scheme designed to provide consistent financial support.

In addition, bags of rice and educational materials were distributed to all women present.

According to Dr. Igbojindu, the foundation will also provide business capital funding to enable beneficiaries expand small businesses, while extending free medical services to all women from Umuchima kindred.

He explained that the initiative aligns with broader goals of economic inclusion, women participation, and community resilience, noting that targeted grassroots interventions are essential for sustainable national development.

The event attracted community leaders and beneficiaries, who described the scheme as a model for private-sector-led social impact.
