GFK Edanuko Foundation Host Fundraising Event to Empower Hope, Change Lives
The GFK Edanuko Foundation has announced its official fundraising event themed “Empowering Hope, Changing Lives,” scheduled to hold on Sunday, December 21st 2025, at Landmark Hotel, Dline, Port Harcourt, with a touch of gold as the dress code. The event aims to raise funds in support of underprivileged families, children, and youths across Rivers State.
Speaking on the inspiration behind the initiative, Faith Edanuko, the founder, said the theme reflects the foundation’s mission to turn compassion into sustainable impact.
“Every act of kindness no matter how small has the power to restore hope and transform lives. Our goal is to reach out to the underprivileged, empower families, and give hope to communities that have lost faith in a better tomorrow,” she explained.
Faith Edanuko noted that the foundation was born out of a deep understanding of the struggles faced by many families in the region.
“Growing up in Ahoada, Rivers State, I witnessed children drop out of school due to hardship and young people without opportunities to grow. Through this initiative, we’re providing education scholarships, youth empowerment programs, and community outreach projects—especially for women and children,” Faith Edanuko said.
She added that the funds raised will go directly into life-changing interventions that provide not just temporary relief but long-term empowerment.
Despite the economic challenges of hosting a charity event, Anita May Igoni, the event planner credited the success of the planning to teamwork and dedication.
“It wasn’t easy pulling resources together, but our team remained focused on the purpose of touching lives. The encouragement and commitment of friends and partners kept us going,” she said.
Beyond the launch, Goodness Edanuko one of the co-founders noted that the foundation plans to establish skill acquisition centers, scholarship schemes, and partnerships with corporate and government bodies to ensure sustainability.
“We’re building structures that will continue empowering lives long after this event, the Executives headed by Ann Oguzor, Nelson Ebere, Happiness Ekpete, Okubo Darlington and Enyindah Sunny says. We invite individuals and organizations to partner with us together, we can strengthen hope for many,” she concluded.
