Ifeoluwa Odegbami Launches Debut Book, ‘Activate Your Week’

In a private and graceful gathering of friends, well wishers and a community of Christian faithfuls, Public Health Nutritionist and wife of the Lead Pastor, The Radiating Church, Mrs Ifeoluwa Odegbami, has launched the book, Activate Your Week.

The event, which held in Lagos yesterday, is Odegbami’s debut book, an expression of her faith, the efficacy of God’s word and how scriptural truths when consistently declared can transform lives for better.

Having started this journey with a weekly vlog on her Instagram page, Odegbami explained that the decision to put the book together came from an inspiration from God and a call to sustain the impact of eternal scriptural truths through declarations.

“Activate Your Week is something I have been doing for about two years now where I come up every Monday morning to read faith based declarations to people on Instagram and to the glory of God, I have had people come to me and share testimonies of the hand of God that they have seen in their life from reaffirming the promises of God. I give all thanks to God for the inspiration that he has given me to be able to put together this book

“The book is a compendium of specially curated scriptures addressing every aspect of life such that whether you are looking to pray over your marriage, health, children, —whatever it is— you will find a portion to read in this book that will bless you and minister to you.

“This book is not a substitute for reading your Bible or having your morning devotions. It is a book that you can read to charge your faith,” she said.

Speaking on the writing process, she credited her family for their support throughout the writing period stating that the book took her about three months to put together.

On his part, the Lead Pastor, The Radiating Church, Mr Samson Odegbami, stated that he was surprised to find out that his wife had the gift of writing. He said that the birth of her writing gift speaks to the place of growth in marriage while encouraging men to support their wives to birth the greatness within.

“I was surprised to know that my wife can really do this and it just goes to show the beauty of growth in marriage and how people evolve over time. When we got married about six years ago, I never knew she had this ability.

“In marriage, we have to compliment each other and I tell people that when they give their wives the platform to grow, the glory still comes back to them. Marriage should help partners discover themselves. Do not leave that woman the way you met her.

“For me, I think that I’m an enabler for my wife. My job is to enable her do whatever it is God has put in her heart to do and I think marriage is for growth,” he said.

Also speaking on the sidelines of the event, the wife of Lead Pastor, Royalty Christian Center, Mrs. Sumbo Adeoye, shared that the book has come just at the right time adding that declaration of God’s word shows that the believer understands what it says and believes in its power. She also encouraged the public to get a copy if the book.

She said: “Activate Your Weak Is a declaration of the word of God and we declare God’s word, it means that we understand what it’s saying, we believe what it’s saying and we’re acting on the word. When we declare it, we are reiterating the power that we already know we have as believers and I want to encourage everyone To get a copy of the book.”

Ifeoluwa Odegbami in her closing remarks noted that although Activate Your Week is her debut book, she looks to write more books in the coming years.

“I am looking at three more books in the womb of my spirit. So let’s say by next year or two years from now, you’ll see some other books being launched by the grace of God.”
