Business Network International (BNI), during their recent Lagos Mainland Regional conference 2025, prepped members on business strategies and preparedness tactics for waves.

The Guest Speaker, Dr. Niyi Adesanya, a foremost performance strategist and leadership coach, during the conference with the theme: ‘Elevate and Expand’, taught the members the Business Ambidextrous Strategy -the ability to strike a balance between exploitation and exploration.

“It is important that as entrepreneurs, they learn the three Rs- Resources, Readiness, and Reputation. The reputation carries more weight, and they must learn to protect their business’s reputation. Business is not about money alone. It’s about customers’ satisfaction, retention, and acquisition,” Adesanya said.

Speaking about the conference, the Executive Director, BNI Lagos Mainland Region, Mr. Nkem Mpamah, said the conference was designed to empower members of the BNI community against economic uncertainty.

“Over the past four years, our journey in building the BNI Lagos Mainland Region has been marked by both challenges and remarkable progress. Despite economic uncertainties and the pressures faced by entrepreneurs across Nigeria, our members have demonstrated resilience, creativity, and an unwavering belief in the power of trusted relationships.

“Our region is home to two thriving chapters-BNI Platinum Nigeria and BNI Fortune Nigeria-uniting nearly 40 business leaders across more than 40 professions. Together, our members have generated over N220 million in member-to-member business referrals, a clear reflection of our shared commitment to collaboration, integrity, and excellence.

“As we celebrate this milestone event, our focus remains steadfast to strengthen our community, empower more entrepreneurs, and continue building a network founded on trust and collaboration. This year’s conference also helps members to engage fully, connect meaningfully, and embrace the opportunity to elevate and expand their business success,” he stated.

The President, BNI Platinum, Nigeria, Charles Onyibe, during his address, said the gathering is not only a celebration of business success but also a reflection of the strong relationships and shared values that unite the members.
