Jaiz Bank Reaffirms Commitment to Value as Priority
Jaiz Bank, Nigeria’s pioneer non-interest bank, has reaffirmed its commitment to driving value-based banking amid current economic realities.
The bank made this known during the official launch of its identity in Abuja, describing the move as a deliberate step to align more closely with customer values and ethical finance.
Speaking at the event, Halima Ishaq, Head of Corporate Communications at Jaiz Bank, said the rebrand goes beyond logos and slogans, stressing that it reflects the Bank’s long-term strategy of promoting trust, fairness, and financial partnership.
“As economic uncertainty, youth unemployment, and inflation continue to affect households and small businesses, Nigerians are asking deeper questions about where their money goes. Our model is built on that relationship,” Ishaq explained.
She added: “This isn’t a rebrand for show; it’s a reset. We are standing firmly on our core principle of non-interest banking, not as a niche model, but as the future of banking in Nigeria. It is about people before profit. It is about helping customers live better, not just bank better.”
Ishaq recalled that Jaiz Bank, established in 2012 as Nigeria’s first fully operational non-interest bank, has since expanded its footprint nationwide, reaching millions with its Shari’ah-compliant products and services.
She emphasised that the Bank’s approach, built on risk-sharing, ethical investments, and asset-backed financing, continues to gain traction in a country where skepticism about traditional financial systems is growing.
Under its refreshed identity, the bank is promising a more inclusive and technology-driven experience, offering stronger digital tools, a user-friendly interface, and improved accessibility across regions.
“With this renewed strategy, which reflects a shared understanding of the future of banking in Nigeria, Jaiz Bank is ready to lead that future,” Ishaq declared.
