Digital Creator Africa Summit 2025 Set to Redefine the Future of Africa’s Creator Economy
Lagos is set to host some of the continent’s brightest creative minds as Digital Creator Africa (DCA) announces its much-anticipated Digital Creator Africa Summit 2025.
The landmark event will hold on September 18, 2025, at the Landmark Event Centre, as part of the Africa Creative Market (ACM).
This year’s theme: “Monetize Your Creativity,” underscores the summit’s mission: to empower African content creators, filmmakers, and digital storytellers with tools and strategies that transform talent into sustainable income streams.
The urgency is clear. While Africa’s creator economy was valued at $3.08 billion in 2023 and is projected to exceed $17.8 billion by 2030, many creators across the continent still earn below ₦100,000 ($65) monthly.
The gap between talent and income remains wide, largely due to limited access to monetization tools, networks, and platforms.
Convener Ifeoma ‘Oma’ Areh described the summit as a bridge between creativity and financial growth. “The talent is here.
The audience is global. What’s missing for most creators is the bridge between creativity and cashflow. At DCA Summit 2025, we are building that bridge with insights, tech, connections, and real-world monetization strategies that creators can apply instantly,” she said.
For Founder of Africa Creative Market, Dr. Sarah Inya Lawal, the event represents a broader commitment to Africa’s creative future.
“This summit represents everything ACM stands for, creating platforms where African creativity can thrive economically. When we bring together the continent’s most innovative creators with global industry leaders, we are not just facilitating conversations; we’re building the infrastructure for Africa’s creative future,” she noted.
The summit will feature a star-studded lineup of speakers and panelists.
The opening keynote will be delivered by Chude Jideonwo, who will address “Africa’s Creator Economy: Unlocking Monetization Opportunities.”
Other spotlight sessions include Tomike Adeoye on creator-led branding, Chichi Nworah on building scalable African entertainment, Malik Afegbua on AI-powered creativity, and Obi Asika on scaling Nigeria’s cultural economy.
A series of interactive panels will give participants practical insights. “From Creator to Creative Entrepreneur,” moderated by Yolanda Okereke, will feature panelists such as Tosin Ajibade (OloriSupergal), Winifred Nwania (Zeelicious Foods), Yemisi Odusanya (Sisi Yemmie), and David I. Adeleke. Another session, “The Monetizable Brand Techniques,” will explore strategies for attracting sponsorships with experts like Orji Emmanuel Tyla and Ayobami Oyakele.
Additional highlights include panels on brand partnerships led by top executives, building communities through user-generated content, and strategies for streaming success featuring creatives like Ariyike Olowolagba, Bolaji Ogunmola, and Jesimiel Damina.
More than just an inspirational gathering, the Digital Creator Africa Summit 2025 aims to be a catalyst for Africa’s creative economy.
By merging talent with technology, ideas with investment, and creativity with commerce, it seeks to equip creators with the tools to thrive on both local and global stages.
The message is clear: Africa is not just participating in the global creator economy, it is shaping its future.
