This milestone edition commemorates five years of building one of Africa’s most influential food movements from a grassroots event in Lagos to a cultural festival that now draws tens of thousands across cities and countries.

Organized annually by the African Food Network, AFDF is a vibrant gathering that celebrates African identity through food, music, fashion, and cultural expression. The 2025 Lagos edition will feature:
Over 50 food and drinks vendors from across Nigeria

Speaking on the announcement, Kevin Ezeokoli, Founder & CEO of the African Food Network, shared:
“Five years ago, we launched this festival with a dream to bring Africans together through food. What we’ve built is more than just a festival; it’s a cultural movement. And there’s no better place to celebrate that than Lagos, a cultural & economic powerhouse in Africa.”

For the first time, this year’s festival will carry the theme “United by Food”, reinforcing African Food Network’s mission to use food as a tool for continental connection, cultural pride, and global visibility.
While details of other editions remain under wraps, Lagos will serve as the flagship city for the 5th anniversary celebration, promising a truly memorable experience for food lovers, creatives, and culture enthusiasts.
