Governor Ododo’s Father: SSA Onuche David Leads Condolences, Describes Late Patriarch as ‘A Quintessential Leader’

The Senior Special Assistant to the Kogi State Governor on Deep Grassroots Mobilization, Hon. Onuche David Excel Wealth, has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Alhaji Ododo, the father of the State Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo.

In a press statement issued in Lokoja on Thursday, Hon. Onuche David conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the Governor and the entire Ododo family, describing the loss as a collective one for the entire state.

He eulogized the late community leader as “a quintessential leader, a respected community elder, and a man of sterling character whose entire life was dedicated to the service of God, humanity, and the upliftment of society.”

Hon. Onuche noted that the news of the patriarch’s demise came as a rude shock, not only to the first family but also to the many across Kogi State who held the deceased in high esteem for his humility, discipline, and wisdom.

The SSA highlighted the profound influence of the late father on the Governor’s life, stating, “Papa’s transition is indeed a painful one. He was more than just a father to His Excellency; he was a mentor, a guide, and a moral compass who instilled in his children and those around him the values of integrity, honesty, and selfless service.”

He further emphasized that the late elder lived a life worthy of celebration and urged the Governor to find solace in the enduring legacy his father left behind.

“At moments like this, words may not completely heal the pains of such a great loss. But we must all find comfort in the fact that Papa lived a fulfilled life anchored on godliness, community development, and the pursuit of peace,” Hon. Onuche stated.

Concluding his message, the Grassroots Mobilization SSA extended his prayers to the family and the state. “On behalf of myself, my family, and my Office, I join millions of Kogites in mourning this great loss. May the Lord comfort you all and strengthen you to carry on Papa’s shining legacy,” he added.
