From Pig Farming to Palm Oil, Naomi Nwaokocha Redefines the Future of Nigerian Agriculture

In the ever-evolving landscape of Nigerian agribusiness, Naomi Nwaokocha is carving out a reputation as a trailblazer. From structured pig farming to palm oil production, her journey reflects resilience, vision, and a determination to prove that agriculture can be both profitable and globally competitive.

Naomi currently serves as the Director of Corporate Operations at Supreme Meat Ventures Ltd, a leading enterprise focused on structured pig farming. She is also the Chief Executive Officer of Poder Farms Ltd, a growing palm oil production company. With several years of business experience, her entry into agriculture began in 2020, when a personal investment in pig farming opened her eyes to the vast potential of structured agribusiness. What started as an experiment has since evolved into billion-naira ventures creating wealth, impact, and opportunities.

Her entrepreneurial drive traces back to her days at the University of Lagos, where she juggled ventures ranging from fashion to interior design. “I’ve always been business-oriented from a very young age,” Naomi recalls. That spirit later sharpened into a clear mission: to expand Nigerian agribusiness beyond subsistence and position it for global recognition.

The road to success, however, has not been without challenges. Naomi has confronted gender bias and the assumption that beauty and intelligence cannot coexist. Rather than shrinking back, she embraced personal development, leaned into her failures, and turned barriers into fuel for growth proving that strategy, resilience, and above all, the ability to create value always prevail. Today, her ventures stand as proof that with the right vision and systems, agriculture can be transformed into a thriving global sector.

Beyond business, Naomi is passionate about mentorship and community impact. She actively inspires women to embrace ambition while staying authentic, challenging the stereotypes that often hold them back. Her belief in mindset as a driver of success is a recurring theme in her leadership. “Your success level will never surpass your belief level,” she often reminds her team.

Looking ahead, Naomi envisions Supreme Meat Ventures scaling into exports and completing its processing facility to strengthen Nigeria’s agricultural value chain. Poder Farms, on the other hand, is set to expand into innovative palm oil by-products that maximize value and minimize waste.

In the next decade, she sees herself as a global thought leader in sustainability, financial intelligence, and women’s empowerment. Her story, marked by persistence and vision, serves as a roadmap for the next generation of entrepreneurs proving that agriculture is not just about feeding nations but also about building lasting wealth, influence, and global relevance.
