The Ogun State Chapter of the Progressive Change Agent Initiative (PCAI) has formally declared its total support for the 2027 governorship ambition of Senator Solomon Adeola (Yayi), describing him as the most qualified and prepared candidate to lead Ogun State into a new era.
In a statement delivered by its State Coordinator, Ambassador Abiola Saheed, the group reaffirmed its readiness to mobilize its expansive grassroots structure to back Senator Yayi’s campaign.
“We believe without reservation that Senator Yayi has the experience, track record, and grassroots appeal to lead Ogun State. PCAI is not a slogan; we are a tested and trusted structure with verifiable coordinators across all 20 LGAs, over 200 ward operatives, and thousands of committed volunteers at polling unit level,” Saheed said.
The group recalled its role in supporting Senator Yayi’s successful senatorial campaign, pledging to build on that momentum with renewed strategic coordination.
“We are already mobilizing, reactivating community cells, and preparing to carry Senator Yayi’s vision across the state. The 2027 election is beyond politics — it is about leadership, competence, and public trust,” the statement added.
As part of its preparatory activities, PCAI announced a statewide PVC sensitization and mobilization campaign starting August 2025. The initiative will involve online and physical registration drives, town halls, door-to-door outreach, and collaborations with community leaders to encourage voter participation.
“We call on all Ogun residents to join us in registering, collecting their PVCs, and shaping the future of our state,” Saheed urged.
The PCAI also expressed its willingness to engage directly with Senator Yayi’s campaign team for early coordination and integration of grassroots strategies into the broader campaign roadmap.
