First Lady Mbah, Fintiri & Namadi Sweep Votes to Win Nigerian Humanitarian Awards 2025
In a remarkable show of public support, three influential First Ladies—Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah of Enugu State, Hajiya Lami Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State, and Hajiya Hadiza Umar Namadi of Jigawa State—have emerged as winners of the 2025 Nigerian Humanitarian Awards and Magazine, following a highly competitive public voting process.
Each of the awardees led their categories with overwhelming votes, reflecting the widespread admiration for their transformative humanitarian efforts in health care, girl child support, women empowerment, and grassroots development.
Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah was named First Lady of the Year (Women Empowerment & Community Development) for her bold interventions in vocational training, small business support, and rural outreach programs across Enugu State.
Hajiya Lami Ahmadu Fintiri took home the title of First Lady of the Year (Health Care & Grassroots Empowerment) in recognition of her outstanding contributions to maternal health, child immunization, and inclusive health care access in Adamawa communities.
Meanwhile, Hajiya Hadiza Umar Namadi was honored as First Lady of the Year (Girl Child Support & Community Development) for her passionate work promoting girls’ education, menstrual health awareness, and school enrollment drives in Jigawa State.
The grand awards ceremony is set to take place on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the prestigious Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja, as part of the Nigerian Humanitarian Awards, Summit & Magazine Event, organized by the Humanitarian Achievements and Outreach Foundation.
This year’s event carries the theme:
“Building Bridges of Hope: Transforming Lives with Compassion and Innovation.”
The event will feature keynote speeches, The Impact Lab workshop, and the official launch of the 2025 Humanitarian Impact Magazine, spotlighting changemakers, institutions, and trailblazing humanitarian initiatives across Nigeria.
The inclusion of these three First Ladies underscores the power of public participation in spotlighting women leaders who are reshaping their states through service, empathy, and tireless advocacy.
