Empowerment in Action: How Brisa Women Foundation is Transforming Lives Across Communities
For over ten years, Nwachukwu Delphine Onyinye, founder of Brisa Women Foundation, has remained steadfast in her mission to empower women and girls across communities. What began as a grassroots effort has grown into a respected organization driving real change through education, skills acquisition, entrepreneurship training, financial literacy, healthcare access, and opportunity creation.
“At Brisa, we believe that when you empower a woman, you empower a generation,” Delphine shares. “Our work focuses on building economic independence and personal growth for women, no matter their background or circumstances.”
Through the years, Brisa Women Foundation has touched countless lives by offering training and support systems that promote self-sufficiency. From rural villages to urban neighborhoods, the foundation’s programs have created safe spaces for women to learn, grow, and thrive.
As the foundation gears up for this year’s edition of its annual empowerment initiative scheduled for June 28th, 2025 in Ikoyi, Lagos, Delphine promises that it will be more impactful than ever. The upcoming event will feature practical training in digital marketing, interior design, and other vocational skills tailored to current market demands. But what truly sets this year apart is the launch of EmpowerPlate, a new global food and medicine drive aimed at supporting vulnerable women and children facing hunger and poor healthcare access.
“EmpowerPlate is our way of responding to the urgent needs we see every day,” Delphine explains. “It’s about providing essentials while still advancing our core mission of empowerment.”
When asked what advice she has for women going through personal struggles, Delphine offers words of strength: “You are not alone. Seek support, stay resilient, and believe in your worth. Every challenge is shaping you into someone stronger.”
Looking toward the future, she sees Brisa Women Foundation expanding its reach far beyond Nigeria. “In five years, we envision Brisa as a global movement, with empowerment hubs across Africa and beyond, impacting millions of lives through sustainable education, healthcare, and training.”
With unwavering purpose and a decade of experience behind her, Nwachukwu Delphine Onyinye is redefining empowerment, one woman, one opportunity, and one bold step at a time.
