NBTE to Partner with Nwokocha of DUDUblack, Other Industry Leaders to Train over 36,000 Nigerian Youths Nationwide

In a bold move to transform youth empowerment and national development, DUDUblack has announced a groundbreaking partnership with the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and several leading private-sector companies to train over 36,000 young Nigerians across the federation.

The nationwide initiative will deliver practical, industry-relevant training in key sectors including fashion, technology, agriculture, mechanics, and more.

The program is strategically designed to address youth unemployment, foster innovation, and strengthen Nigeria’s export market by equipping the next generation with skills that meet both local and international demands.

“This is more than a training programme, it’s a movement to reposition Nigeria’s youth as global competitors and creators,” said Nwokocha. “By collaborating with NBTE and a network of forward-thinking companies, we are bridging the gap between talent and opportunity.”

The partnership will see various industry leaders contributing resources, expertise, and mentorship in their respective fields.

These companies will play an active role in curriculum development, hands-on training, and post-program support, including potential job placement and business incubation for top-performing participants.

NBTE Executive Secretary, Prof. Idris Bugaje, welcomed the collaboration, stating, “This initiative represents a new model of public-private partnership in technical and vocational education. It aligns with our national agenda to equip youth with practical skills and position Nigeria for sustained economic growth.”

Training will be delivered through accredited technical and vocational centers nationwide, utilizing NBTE’s existing infrastructure alongside the modern facilities and innovations provided by corporate partners.

The first cohort of trainees is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2025, with applications opening soon through NBTE and partner platforms.

By bringing together government institutions, creative enterprises like DUDUblack, and leading industry players, the initiative aims to create a vibrant ecosystem of empowered youth who can drive local innovation and expand Nigeria’s influence in global markets.
