The Igbo diaspora king in the Republic of Ghana, His Royal Majesty, Eze (Dr.) Amb. Chukwudi Jude Ihenetu has joined the family, friends, associates, and numerous well wishers of Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim to congratulate him on his well deserved appointment as Chairman, National Merit Award Commitee, by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR , describing him as a true Nigerian patriot and respected statesman.

In a well written statement that he signed from his revered Obiukwu, Obi Igbo, Obieziokwu royal palace in Ghana and made available to his Country- Director on Media Strategy & Communications, Njoku Macdonald Obinna , Ezeigbo Ghana, Dr. Ihenetu, posited:
“May I, on behalf of my lovely family, members of my Council -of – Chiefs, and entire Igbo community in Ghana, felicitate Your Excellency , Distinguished Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim, GCON, on this well-deserved appointment as Chairman— Nigeria Merit Awards— by H.E. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. I have no doubt that you shall discharge this national assignment with the diligence , transparency, and dedication expected from you having distinguished yourself in public service.

Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim , GCON , born on February 19, 1961, is a Nigerian politician who served as the 9th President of the Nigerian Senate from 2000 to 2003.

He was Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) during the Goodluck Jonathan Presidency.
