Creative Event Designers Unite as ACEDA Holds Milestone Town Hall

The Association of Creative Event Designers, Abuja (ACEDA), recorded a landmark achievement with the successful hosting of its recent town hall meeting—an event that has been described as a major turning point in the association’s journey toward unity, professionalism, and strategic growth.

Held in Abuja, the meeting drew a vibrant attendance from members across the city’s event design space, all of whom came with a shared vision and enthusiasm for the future of the profession. The gathering featured open discussions, financial briefings, electoral plans, and strategic projections for the association’s growth.

In a statement to members, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees (BOT), Dr. Oladipupo Akinkunmi, praised the collective spirit demonstrated at the event, describing it as “a clear manifestation of what can be achieved through unity and shared purpose.”

“This milestone didn’t happen overnight. It is the result of dedication, sacrifice, and relentless hard work—especially by the Adhoc Committee. The success of this town hall meeting reaffirms our belief in the strength of community and the power of a common vision,” Dr. Akinkunmi stated.

Participants also commended the association’s legal partners, whose pro bono services have been vital in providing a solid structural foundation for the organization. Their unwavering support, members noted, reflects the spirit of volunteerism and service that has become the bedrock of ACEDA’s operations.

Throughout the session, members deliberated on ways to elevate the standards of event design in the FCT and expand opportunities for members through training, collaborations, and advocacy.

The event ended on a high note, with members expressing renewed optimism for the future of the association. The leadership affirmed its commitment to transparency, member welfare, and the advancement of creative excellence within the industry.

As ACEDA moves forward, its members have pledged to maintain the momentum, continuing the drive for a more professional and inclusive industry.

“Together, we are building something remarkable,” Dr. Akinkunmi said. “With unity, we will continue to turn our dreams into reality.”
