Vesti CEO Honours Team for Driving Global Impact
In just four years, Vesti has evolved into an AI-first, rapidly scaling migration fintech.
With over 1 million users, a presence across four continents, and strategic expansion into key global markets such as the United Kingdom, Ghana, and Canada, the company continues to defy norms by simplifying complex migration journeys for
aspiring global citizens. At the heart of this growth is a culture that champions excellence, innovation, and people. A team retreat in Lagos, Nigeria, brought together cross-border teams for
rejuvenating workshops and bonding. The retreat concluded with an emotional
recognition ceremony led by CEO Olusola Amusan, celebrating team members
whose contributions have shaped Vesti’s journey.
Among the honourees was Ope Odunlami, a digital product designer whose
trajectory reflects Vesti’s own: initiative met opportunity, sparking exponential growth.
Just four months into learning product design, Odunlami independently redesigned
the company’s website and shared the transformation on social media. His work
caught the attention of Vesti’s leadership, who invited him to join the product team
and lead the design of Element by Vesti.
Element is a premier digital banking platform enabling immigrants, particularly
founders and high-net-worth individuals, to access U.S. banking services using their
native KYC documentation. It debuted at Lagos Startup Week 2023 and launched
soon after in Dallas, Texas, drawing thousands in combined attendance and gaining strong early adoption. Since then, it has supported diverse use cases: helping international founders open U.S. financial accounts, register for business expansion, and secure global funding, as well as assisting first-time immigrants in managing cross-border financial transitions. The app’s intuitive design continues to drive high user retention and recognition within the startup community.
Since joining Vesti, Odunlami has designed more than 30% of the company’s app features, helping it surpass 1 million downloads, achieve a 4.8-star rating, and
expand its international user base. Notable features he helped bring to life include
Pathways, which has guided over 4,000 students, professionals, and families
through their migration processes; Miai, an AI-powered assistant easing migration-related tasks for more than 500,000 users; and Migration Loans, which has disbursed over ₦1 billion in travel loans to support immigrants on their journeys.
Odunlami’s story is one of many within Vesti’s growing team. Other recognised
impact makers include Austin Emenike, Adewale Adeosun, Samuel Ariyo, and
Adefisola Bamisile, each playing a vital role in advancing innovation across products, customer experience, and operations.
Reflecting on the company’s ethos, CEO Olusola Amusan highlighted what it takes
to thrive at Vesti: a willingness to grow, an appetite for solving big problems, and an
unrelenting commitment to driving meaningful impact.
As Vesti continues to scale and empower global migrants, it is clear that the
company is driven not just by employees but by passionate advocates who
consistently turn vision into reality.
