GOSSIPMILL NAIJA CEO, PINOVIBES, ATTENDS AFRICAN CREATORS SUMMIT IN LAGOS
The founder of Gossipmill Naija, Somto Monanu, popularly known as Pinovibes, was among the top digital voices who gathered for the African Creators Summit held in Lagos this past weekend.
The high-level event, which brought together Africa’s leading content creators, tech founders, brand executives, and media professionals, was designed to foster collaboration, growth, and deeper conversations about the future of content on the continent.
Pinovibes, known for building one of Nigeria’s most influential and fast-paced gossip platforms from the ground up, joined other creators in panel discussions, strategy sessions, and networking moments focused on creator economy, monetization, storytelling, and platform evolution.
Speaking at the summit, Pinovibes emphasized the importance of staying authentic in the ever-changing digital space.
“We didn’t start with structure or sponsors — we started with consistency. That’s still the formula,” he said during an informal breakout session that drew a crowd of younger creators hoping to follow in his footsteps.
The summit, held at the Landmark Centre in Lagos, also featured keynotes from YouTube, Meta, and TikTok representatives, spotlighting African talent and giving creators access to tools and insights to scale their brands globally.
Pinovibes’ presence was felt both on and off stage, as he connected with fellow digital pioneers, shared behind-the-scenes realities of running a high-volume content platform, and encouraged creators to use their platforms for both storytelling and impact.
From shaping narratives online to representing the next generation of media entrepreneurs, Pinovibes continues to evolve — and this time, he’s doing it on the continental stage.
