By Tolulope Oke

On March 23, 2024, EERIV Europe UAB organized an educational seminar in Buea, Cameroon, aimed at providing prospective students with guidance on studying in Europe. The event, held at the Buea Council Hall, brought together students, graduates, and education enthusiasts interested in exploring international academic opportunities.

The seminar, themed “Gateway to European Education: Navigating Admission for International Students,” focused on simplifying the often complex process of applying to universities abroad. According to information provided in the event materials, the session covered key stages of the study abroad journey, including university selection, application procedures, and visa processes.

Held at 3:00 p.m., the event was open to the public at no cost, reflecting an effort to make access to educational information more inclusive. Attendees were encouraged to register in advance through an online link or by scanning a QR code provided on the event poster. Organizers also made contact support available via phone and WhatsApp to assist with inquiries prior to the seminar.

During the session, participants received insights into how to identify suitable academic programs across various European institutions. The seminar also aimed to address common challenges faced by international applicants, such as documentation requirements, timelines, and navigating immigration procedures.

In addition to general guidance, the event provided an opportunity for attendees to interact directly with representatives and gain personalized advice tailored to their academic goals. Such engagements are increasingly seen as valuable in bridging the information gap for students seeking to study abroad, particularly in regions where access to reliable guidance may be limited.

The choice of Buea as the host city reflects its reputation as a key educational hub in Cameroon, home to a growing population of students and graduates. By hosting the seminar locally, EERIV Europe sought to engage directly with a community of aspiring international students.

Industry observers note that in-person seminars like this remain an important complement to digital platforms, offering face-to-face interaction and immediate clarification of concerns. While many education service providers are moving toward digital solutions, physical events continue to play a role in building trust and awareness.

The seminar forms part of EERIV Europe’s broader efforts to expand access to European education by equipping students with the necessary knowledge and tools to pursue academic opportunities abroad. As interest in international education continues to grow, such initiatives highlight the ongoing demand for accessible, reliable guidance in navigating global academic pathways
