In a powerful fusion of storytelling and advocacy, the private screening of ‘I Am Anis’ took center stage over the weekend at ‘The Jewel by Aeida’ in commemoration of the 2025 International Women’s Day (IWD), usually celebrated annually on March 8.

This highly anticipated event, which brought together influential women, industry advocates, media professionals, and the film’s creative team, served as a rallying call for women to embrace the #NudgeDontJudge movement, a pledge to support, uplift, and guide each other without judgment.

Directed by Biodun Stephen, I Am Anis tells the deeply moving story of Anisola Williams, a woman whose concealed past resurfaces when her son uncovers her teenage years as Precious. The film’s exploration of self-acceptance, resilience, and the power of second chances resonated strongly with the audience.

Following the screening, Biodun Stephen led women in making the #NudgeDontJudge pledge, an initiative inspired by the film’s message and aligned with this year’s International Women’s Day theme, ‘Accelerate Action’.

The pledge calls on women to be their sisters’ keepers, offering guidance and encouragement rather than judgment.

“Every woman has a story, and sometimes, all we need is a nudge in the right direction. This film is a reminder that we are stronger together when we lift each other instead of tearing each other down,” she shared.

The screening also marked the announcement that I Am Anis will be available for viewing on Circuits, an innovative new digital platform designed to bring powerful stories to audiences worldwide.

As we commemorate International Women’s Day, I Am Anis stands as a beacon of hope and a call to action—urging women to support, empower, and accelerate change by nudging, not judging.
