Estam University Honours Destalker with Honorary Doctorate

The Estam University, Benin, has conferred an honourary doctoral degree to Oghenekowhoyan Onaibe Desmond, popularly known by his stage name Destalker.

Destalker was conferred with the honorary Doctorate during the Estam University matriculation and convocation ceremony, with the theme: ‘Adapting to a Changing World: The Role of Building Your Legacy’.
It was observed that the prestigious honour recognizes Destalker’s outstanding achievements in the entertainment industry, entrepreneurial success, and his unwavering commitment to mentoring the younger
generation of entertainers.

As an award-winning comedian, actor, master
of ceremonies, and philanthropist, Destalker has made an indelible mark on the Nigerian entertainment landscape.
“His evolution from humble beginnings to becoming one of Africa’s most sought-after comedians is a shining example of hard work, perseverance, and unwavering belief in one’s dreams.
“Destalker’s path into the comedy industry was not an easy one. In 2008, he took a bold step by moving to Lagos, Nigeria’s entertainment hub, with dreams of making a name for himself.
With nothing but talent and determination, Destalker started performing at clubs, building a reputation for himself through his unique and engaging style of handling the microphone.
