Micheal Arowolo is rapidly emerging as a pivotal figure in Nigerias digital technology landscape.

With a rich background in IT Governance, Risk and Compliance, hes not just an expert; hes a visionary founder and a passionate mentor shaping the future of African tech.

Though, Micheal initially pursued a Law degree, his innate drive for problem solving and innovation propelled him into the technology sector. His journey began during his undergraduate years at Obafemi Awolowo University where he founded Ikinghub. What started as a digital exchange within his university community has since blossomed into a leading fintech company.

Ikinghub is now instrumental in bridging Africas financial inclusion gap by facilitating gift card exchanges, utility bill payments, and cryptocurrency trading. This venture exemplifies Micheals entrepreneurial spirit and his ability to identify and address critical market needs.

Micheals commitment to continuous learning is evident in his academic pursuits. Beyond his Bachelor of Law, he is an alumnus of Regent University London, where he earned a Masters degree specializing in Digital and Media communication. This blend of legal and digital expertise showcases his broad intellectual curiosity and adaptability.
Remarkably, Micheals early foray into tech was self-taught. He honed his skills as a technology business analyst by independently learning and applying his knowledge, often leveraging resources like YouTube, while simultaneously building his company. This hands-on, experiential learning approach underscores his resourcefulness and fuels his dedication to nurturing the next generation of tech professionals.
Micheals passion for giving back is a cornerstone of his professional identity. He is a key mentor at the Ikeja Tech Spark initiative, an impactful program sponsored by the Ikeja Dynamic Lions Club.

As a long-standing Lions Club member himself, Micheal plays a crucial role in coaching and guiding over 65 aspiring teenagers from underprivileged backgrounds, equipping them with essential technology skills for future success.

“Im very fulfilled to have the opportunity to directly impact over 65 teenagers through the Ikeja Tech Spark, Micheal recently shared. As a Lions Club member, Ive been part of several initiatives through the years, but none with this specific focus on technology education and a structured approach to hands-on learning for teenagers.

Beyond Ikeja Tech Spark, Micheal also volunteers as a course instructor and mentor at Swift Profile, a career consulting firm dedicated to helping individuals transition into IT roles. Through practical, instructor-led training and mentorship, he has supported over 100 students in making the leap into tech, educating them on critical areas such as IT Audit, Tech Risk, and Cyber GRC.

With his exceptional competence, unwavering drive for excellence and innovative mindset, Micheal Arowolo is unequivocally on track to inspire a new wave of founders and IT security experts. His work is not only shaping individual careers, but also significantly contributing to putting Nigeria at the forefront of the global technology map.
