The Arewa Youths Consultative Forum (AYCF) expressed concerns about the handling of security matters by Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State.

The group in a press statement, yesterday highlights that the continuous association of Lawal’s predecessor, Bello Mohammed Matawalle, with the state’s security issues may divert attention from addressing the pressing concerns effectively.

The group President Yerima Shettima emphasized the need for Governor Lawal to take direct responsibility for the state’s security challenges, rather than relying on the name of Matawalle, who currently serves as the Minister of State Defense.

The AYCF asserts that this approach not only misleads the public but also hampers efforts to find lasting solutions to security issues in Zamfara.

The AYCF cautions against the potential consequences of Governor Lawal’s actions, stating that addressing security challenges requires a focused and accountable leadership.

The group urges President Tinubu to be aware of the broader implications and emphasizes the importance of a leader who prioritizes the safety of citizens over personal gains.
