Pastor Taiwo Odukoya Dies in US

Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, the founder of the Fountain of Life Church, has passed away almost two years after losing his second wife, Nomthi, to cancer.

The sad news was shared on the Church’s Facebook page.

“The Fountain of Life Church Family, in total submission to the will of God Almighty announces the passing unto greater glory of our Father, Teacher, a great servant of the Most High God, Pastor Daniel Taiwo Odukoya, Founding Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, who passed unto glory on the 7th of August 2023 in the USA,” the post stated.

Taiwo Odukoya’s life was marked by both personal loss and impactful contributions. After the tragic loss of his first wife, Bimbo — a beloved televangelist who gained prominence for her relationship TV series —
in the Sosoliso air crash in 2005, he later married Nomthi, and together they had a meaningful 11-year marriage that produced two sons.

Before embracing his ministry calling, he worked in petroleum engineering, having graduated in that field. He served as a petroleum engineer at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) from April 1982 until his voluntary retirement in January 1994.

He was aged 67.
