Corps Member Honoured for Excellence in Health, Community Service

Dr. Adepoju Adekola, a Corps member and medical doctor, has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to patient care, professional leadership, and community health development.

According to a recent statement, Dr. Adepoju’s dedication to clinical excellence and compassionate service has earned him multiple accolades, including two prestigious awards from the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD), the national professional body of physicians in training across Nigeria, during his internship at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife.

He received the Outstanding House Officer Award (2022) for his exceptional commitment to patient care, and the House Officer Leadership and Professionalism Award (2021) for his exemplary conduct and leadership in medical practice.

A graduate of a V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, Ukraine, Dr. Adepoju returned to Nigeria to serve his country, securing his professional license and quickly distinguishing himself as a physician of impact.

In 2022, he further demonstrated his commitment to national development by serving under the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Osun State.

During his deployment, he coordinated healthcare services for thousands of corps members, leading a team of nurses and medical staff to deliver effective and compassionate care — all without financial compensation.

Currently, Dr. Adepoju serves as the Medical Officer in Charge at Safe Parturition Specialist Hospital, where he plays a key role in ensuring safe deliveries and maintaining high standards of patient care.
His leadership and clinical expertise continue to earn him the trust of both patients and colleagues.
