Tech1M Sets To Train One Million Talents in the Tech Industry
Tech1M, a Tedbree initiative, is set to accelerate and empower one million tech talents in the industry. The initiative is born from the increasing demand for tech talents globally and the need to close the tech deficit gap.
Tech1M Applicants between the age of 16 and 35 years will have the opportunity to kickstart and accelerate their careers in tech without any payment. The organization will provide sponsored training for absolute beginners and tech talents looking to upscale their skills.
Tommie Edwards, the CEO of Tedbree and founder of Tech1M says the initiative will significantly disrupt the tech industry, “Thousands of people aspire to have a career in tech but lack the mentorship and expertise needed to succeed. Tech1M does more than train talent; we coach and provide opportunities for them to flourish.”
Although it’s a sponsored initiative, all Tech1M applicants will undergo a rigorous process to ensure they have the zeal and commitment required for the program. Only applicants that show such passion will become Tech1M Talents.
“Many people tend to misuse opportunities like these, offered on a platter of gold, as much as we are passionate about accelerating careers in the industry, we’ve made the selection process rigorous to ensure only committed applicants become Tech1M Talents”, Tommie Edwards added.
Tech1M Talents who complete the Bootcamp program alongside an impressive project will become Tech1M Graduates and get awarded a Certificate. Afterwards, the Tech1M Graduates will have access to professional career mentors and a 3-6 months internship placement in thriving agencies in the industry.
“We provide the Tech1M Interns with practical field experience and pay them a monthly stipend throughout the program. The Tech1M Interns are also provided with Success Coaches and Mentors to guide their tech careers. We’re bringing a new generation of techies with a zeal for excellence. The goal is to empower youths with the skill and expertise to make themselves indispensable in the global market.” the Tech1M founder stated.
Upon completion, the Tech1M interns will receive an alumni badge, making them Tech1M Alumni, and gaining access to full-time standard jobs available throughTech1M and the companies partnering with the initiative.
The initiative focuses on impacting driven youths, many of whom are minorities in emerging countries, women struggling to get back on their feet, and others with underrepresented backgrounds in tech.
The CEO added, “As a tech-driven company, we believe in the power of technology to make people’s lives better. We are increasing diversity in the tech industry by training a million people from underrepresented groups and getting them great jobs in technology. Diversity is a source of strength and creativity that we can harness to build a better future for everyone, so we will champion it at all times.”
In achieving the goal to accelerate a million tech talents globally, Tech1M is partnering with contributors and companies worldwide with similar visions.
