Fire Razes Building of Seven Flats in Kwara

Fire has razed a building of seven flats at Gaa Duroyi Akewusola, Amoyo area in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.

The affected building, according to THISDAY checks, was completely razed by the fire.

During the inferno it was learnt that property worth several millions of naira were burnt.

Confirming the incident, the Head of

Media and Publicity of the state Fire Service, Mr. Hassan Adekunle, said the seven flats were burnt due to the late calls to the men of the Fire Service in the state.

Adekunle, who urged the members of the public to always endeavour to inform the men of the state Fire Service on time, said the development would assist the Fire Service operatives to rise to the ugly situation on time and quench the fire.

He also advised the residents of the state to switch off all their electrical appliances before leaving home always to prevent fire incident in the state.
