Umahi Suspends Housing and Urban Devt Commissioner

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has approved the indefinite suspension of the Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Mr. Clement Nweke, with immediate effect for insubordination.

The Secretary to the State Government, Ugbala Igwe, in a statement yesterday directed the commissioner to hand over all governmental property in his possession to the Permanent Secretary or the most senior officer in the ministry before the close of work.

According to the statement, “His Excellency, the Governor of Ebonyi State, Dr David Nweze Umahi, has approved the indefinite suspension of Hon. Clement Nweke as Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development with immediate effect. The indefinite suspension is as a result of insubordination.”
