AAAN to Organise AGM, Congress at Ibadan

The Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN) would hold its 48th Annual General Meeting/Congress on July 23 and 24 at the Golden Tulip Hotel, Ibadan, Oyo State, with the theme “Boom, Gloom and Doom! Where Do We Sit?”

The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Mr. Seyi Makinde, who is among the prominent dignitaries at the AGM, would declare the event open while the Honourable Minister of Information, Mr. Lai Mohammed, would be the Special Guest of Honour.

The President of the AAAN, Mr. Steve Babaeko, described that the AGM as a platform to actively engage in intellectual and critical discourse on challenges facing the practice of advertising in Nigeria and proffer unconventional solutions in rebuilding and rebranding the industry.

The Chairman of the Events Planning Committee, Mr. Doyin Adewumi, stated that the association has invited leading experts in their fields to lead the discourse on the theme.

Adewumi stated that the discourse would be beneficial to delegates and members of the association.

He disclosed that the AAAN has invited the Managing Director of the Sterling Bank, Mr. Abubakar Suleiman, the Managing Director f Interswitch, Mr. Mitchell Elegbe and the Founder of the Future Africa, Mr. Iyinoluwa Aboyeji as speakers.

He added that some senior members would be honoured and given special recognition awards in recognition of their meritorious services to the association while young practitioners who have showed exceptional leadership would also be recognised at the AGM.
