Blinx Surprises His Fans With A Live Performance On Instagram

Capetown, South Africa based Nigerian rapper, producer and songwriter, Obi Okolie also known as ‘BLINX’ performed some of his already released songs and some yet to be released tracks from his forthcoming EP Pain, Suffering & Sacrifice (PSS), yesterday April 1st, unofficially known as April Fools Day.

The singer, rapper/record producer, who is an independent artiste performed the unannounced 30mins concert as an April Fools Day surprise for his fans. Obi who said he had earlier planned an Easter online concert decided to surprise his fans with the April 1st performance as an April fools day prank.

Blinx had earlier given details on his Instagram story about the performance earlier in the day but disguised it as an April fools day prank. It wasn’t until the actual performance began by 12noon that his fans realized he was serious about the live gig and that it wasn’t a prank.

This was Blinx’s first ever live performance via Instagram live and for his fans. He hopes to hold more of such performances in the coming months as prelude to the release of his extended play album.

Obi also revealed he will be announcing a video challenge as promotions for the EP release where 5 of his top fans will win some cash prizes and other goodies as rewards.
