Afro Music Festival, is a celebration of different music and cultures within the African Diaspora. The concert which celebrates the African peoples and cultural heritage through Arts, Fashion & Music is scheduled to return October this year.

The event is one if the signature events of Amplify Africa showcases the diverse genres of music within Africa and in the diaspora. Amplify Africa founded in 2015 by Damilare Kujembola & Timi Adeyeba, is an arts and entertainment platform whose main objective is showcasing the excellence of Africa, Africans, and Africa in diaspora through its events. They are the organizers of events like Afrolituation (which is the biggest African experience party in North America), Afro Ball, & Made in Africa (the biggest annual African concert in North America).

Timi Adeyeba, the COO of Amplify Africa said the festival has been held annually for the past couple of years with the sole aim of promoting African music and cultural heritage. “Due to the pandemic a lot of events we had planned for 2020 had to be put off or postponed indefinitely. But AFRO MUSC FESTIVAL is one of the events slated to make a return this year” Timi said.

He said that plans have already been put in motion to hold the festival on October 1st in celebration of Nigeria’s 61st independence. “We are currently talking to a number of prospective partners with respect to sponsorship for the event” he said. The festival will also be used as a medium to promote the diversity and richness of Africans and African music & culture in diaspora.

He said, “the objective is to use this year’s festival to create awareness for young teens, that they can be the best and at the same successful at whatever career path they choose”.
