Suicide Bombers Attack IDP Camp, Kill Five in Borno

Five persons were last night killed at an internally displaced persons (IDPs) camp in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
The Chairman of the state Emergency Management Agency (BOSEMA), Ahmed Satomi, told journalists that at the Dalori IDP camp that five persons were killed in an explosion which also had 39 others injured.
He said one of the suicide bombers detonated a bomb at the Dalori IDP camp leading to the death of five persons.
He added that 39 other persons were injured at the same camp.
Satomi said one of the suicide bombers sneaked into Dalori quarters but was not unsuccessful as the bomb detonated without any other death apart from the bomber.
But the spokesman of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) for the Northeast Zonal Office, AbdulKadir Ibrahim said four persons were killed at the IDP camp and 44 persons were injured.
In a message to THISDAY, Ibrahim said: “44 people were injured, four killed (two suicide bombers, two IDPs) at Dalori IDP camp Maiduguri. Incident occurred about 9.30p.m.â€
Also, the North-east Zonal Coordinator of NEMA, Alhaji Bashir Idris Garga, confirmed four persons were killed in the attacks. He added that 44 persons were injured.
