Amidst the ever-evolving landscape of artistry in the 21st century, we delve into the world of sculptor and painter Chike Felix Uzoka, whose creative prowess knows no bounds. Today, we shine a spotlight on his remarkable journey as an artist and the impressive body of work that has cemented his name in the world of art. His recent foray into “Autism Art” is his commitment through art to focus on helping them manage the behaviour and development of the children to enhance their self-confidence and communication.

The story of Uzoka stands out as a testament to the power of creativity and dedication. Since his early days as a student of fine and applied arts at the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu. Chike has embarked on a transformative journey, ultimately graduating as a sculptor and painter in 1995.

What sets Chike Felix Uzoka apart is not just his formal education but his unwavering commitment to his craft. Over the years, he has had the privilege of collaborating with renowned artists such as the late Nsikak Essien, Bona Ezeudu, Nnaemeka Egwuibe, Prof. Chuu Krydz Ikwuemesi, and musicologist Ikenna Onwuegbuna, amongst others, further enriching his artistic perspective and pushing the boundaries of his creativity.

His artistic journey has been punctuated by numerous accomplishments, including participation in group exhibitions as a member of the Pan African Circle of Artists (PACA), which has embarked on a “Road Tour of Africa,” visiting eleven African countries between 2001 and 2010 and participating in four Dakar Art Biennial or “Dak’Art” exhibitions that are held at the Boribana Museum in Dakar, Senegal.

Also, as a member of “The United Artists for Environmental Protection” (UAFEP), he participated in a group exhibition at the Brazilian Embassy in Lagos, Nigeria, on November 26, 1998, tagged “The Rape of Nature.” He has exhibited at other esteemed venues, like the British Council and the French Consulate in Enugu. Uzoka’s ability to work with an array of mediums, from clay and metal to wood, concrete, stone, sawdust, and fabrics, showcases his versatility and innovation in the world of sculpture and painting.

Notably,Uzoka has not only captured the attention of art enthusiasts but has also left an indelible mark through commissioned works for various organisations and private individuals. His ability to bring unique visions to life through his artistry has solidified his reputation as a master of his craft.
