Adamawa Police Arrest Four Suspected Kidnappers

.Recovers one AK-47 rifle and 5 live ammunition

The Adamawa Police Command in collaboration with the military arrested four suspected kidnappers terrorising the residents of Ganye, Jada and Michika local government areas of the state.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Police Public Relation Officer, Supretedent  (SP)  Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, made available to journalists in Yola yesterday.

He said the police also recovered one AK-47 rifle and five live ammunition from the suspects.

The PPRO said the suspects were arrested after they organised and kidnapped two persons in the House of Alhaji Shehu Ali of Tudun Wada, Michika Local Government.

“Similarly, another coordinated crime fighting strategy was carried out in collaboration with hunters at Gamu Hill and that yielded another success as one amongst the syndicate of Kidnappers that has been terrorising Jada, Ganye and villages around them was neutralised and one AK-47 rifle recovered,” he said.

Nguroje also said the Commissioner of Police ( CP) incharge of the state ,currently promoted to the Assistant Inspector General of Police AIG, Afolabi Babatola who is yet handover to the new CP while expressing happiness, commended the operational commanders and urged for the synergy to be sustained.

He said the AIG assured the public of diligent prosecution of the kidnapped suspects presently in police custody.
