NNEW Partners ICC Nigeria

NECA Network of Entrepreneurial Women (NNEW) in collaboration with the International Chamber of Commerce Nigeria (ICCN) has announced a line-up of activities in commemoration of this year’s International Women’s Day on March 8, 2018.

NNEW is a platform established in 2005 under the aegis of Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA) to promote entrepreneurship amongst women, and has been consistent in celebrating the annual International Women’s Day by identifying and supporting the theme of the global event through programmes on activities that resonate with theme of the Day.

ICC is the largest, most representative business organisation in the world, and the only private-sector organisation to have been granted the Observer Status at the General Assembly of the United Nations. Its global network comprises over 6.5 million companies. ICC members include many of the world’s largest companies, SMEs, business associations and local chambers of commerce in more than 130 countries.

Founded in 1919, ICC has established several Commissions to examine major policy issues of interest to world business. ICC Nigeria is a member of this global body since 1979 and was re-organised in 1999 for the enhancement of international Trade and Investment.

Speaking on the collaboration and planned activities for this year, the President of NNEW, Mrs. Modupe Oyekunle said the Network is delighted to collaborate with an international body like International Chamber of Commerce Nigeria (ICCN) to celebrate women who have refused to be limited despite intended or unintended obstacles they have to contend with on their way and consistently press forward for progress.
