Edo State FA has announced that her annual award would take place December 22 at the prestigious Imaguero College Hall in Benin City.
Edo FA Chairman, Frank Ilaboya in a statement thursday in Benin said arrangements are in top gear to ensure that the event that enters its third year remains as glamorous as it has always been since it was instituted.
Ilaboya’s release stated in part: “We wish to state that the Edo FA award would take place December 22 this year in Benin at the prestigious Imaguero College Hall.
“Arrangements are in top gear to make it another glamorous outing. We would be rewarding stakeholders who have excelled this year and the names of those that deserve to be honoured would be made known in the next couple of days.”
Ilaboya pointed out that the annual Edo FA award is the state FA’s little way of appreciating and encouraging those who make football tick not just in the state, but in the country.
He expressed happiness that Edo is fast regaining its position as a state to be reckoned with in the round leather game, thanks to the state government that is attracting football activities to Benin.
