LG Reaches Out to Abuja Community

Multinational technology firm, LG Electronics, has strengthened its   Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR, gesture in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, as it blessed Kuje General Hospital with products to further improve health care delivery in the community.

The gesture is a continuation of the company’s CSR drive to improve quality of lives in its efforts to enhance health care delivery in the state.

Items donated to the centre included some units of   All New Gencool Inverter Air Conditioners, Jet Cool Air Conditioners as well as numerous treated mosquito nets.

Presenting the items, Head of Corporate Marketing, LG Electronics West Africa Operations,  Mr. Hari Krishna Elluru, noted that the initiative was in fulfilment of its commitment  to enhance health care delivery services in Nigeria.

“We have remained competitive while improving sustainability; we have enabled investment and innovations required to deploy new technologies and to safely and responsibly develop progressive products. We strongly believe that our donations here today will improve the service delivery in the hospital and provide the enabling environment for the patients.”

Also speaking at the presentation ceremony, Manager, Fouani Nigeria Limited, Mr. Morhaf Ghazaly, reiterated LG’s determination to impact the nation’s health sector.

He said, “It is my firm belief that the items being donated will go a long way in empowering this health facility as well as the people of this community in their quest to enjoy sound health by empowering the hospital staff to do their jobs more efficiently.”

 Receiving the items, Head of clinical services, Kuje General Hospital, Dr. Musa Ishaku, thanked the benefactor for having the hospital in mind.

 “We are proud to be considered for this gesture. We appreciate the giver’s generosity and goodwill towards our hospital, which is clearly demonstrated by this donation.”

Ishaku also enjoined other corporate organisations and public-spirited individuals to emulate LG in responding to the needs of health institutions; adding that so many hospitals across the country were in dire need of support.
