Traders Tell Members Not to Join NLC Strike

The National Harmonised Traders Union has called its members across the country to open their trading activities by distancing themselves from the proposed strike.

Speaking with journalists in Kano monday, the National Chairman of the union, Alhaji Abdulaziz Bature, stated that they had taken a unanimous position not to join the purported NLC planned strike scheduled for wednesday.

He said their reasons for opting out of planned labour strike actions was borne out of the fact that the NLC had failed to provide sufficient reasons for their action.

The chairman revealed: “Going into industrial action at this material time will never be the answer to our predicaments.

“NLC is always playing politics with the interest of the common man because most of their agitation is not for the collective interest of the people.”
