EFCC, Police Pledge to Strengthen Ties against Corruption

Officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) and the Nigeria Police have pledged to intensify their collaboration in the fight against corruption.

The two organisations made the pledge when the Head of EFCC Zonal  Office in Sokoto, Nwanneka Nwokike visited  the Sokoto State Police Commissioner Ali  Kaigama.

Nwokike thanked the Police for their  roles in nurturing the EFCC and assured the CP that he will always call on him for advice and guidance.

“For us in the EFCC, our brotherhood with the Nigerian police commenced from inception and we recognise and appreciate the crucial role they play in our operations,” he said.

On his part  the Commissioner of Police,  Sokoto State,   Ali Kaigama reaffirmed that the bond between the EFCC and the Nigeria Police Force is strong and can never be broken.

The CP   traced the history of the commission to the robust relationship it has with the Police.

According to Kaigama,”the Nigeria Police Force will remain a home for the EFCC. We are proud of your achievements,” he said.
