GEIL, NCDMB Give Reasons for Embarking on Engineering Training

Green Energy International Limited and its collaborative partners, Lekoil Oil & Gas Investment Limited and the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, have given reasons for inaugurating a training initiative aimed at bolstering expertise in oil and gas engineering.

According to a statement by the company, the programme aims to address skills gaps in the industry, with a focus on the engineering sector, in compliance with the Nigerian Oil and Gas Content Development Act.

The energy firm noted that the training aimed to equip participants with the necessary skill sets to meet the increasing demands of the industry.

It added that the inaugural session, held in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, marked the commencement of the initiative.

The Government Relations Manager at GEIL, Fatimah Amate, said the training, conducted by the Dexterous Applied Training Institute, would cater to individuals from diverse backgrounds across various geopolitical zones.

“Participants will undergo intensive training in areas including piping engineering, safety engineering, electrical engineering, and health and safety in the workplace, among others,” she stated.
