She embarked on her journey at a remarkably young age with an unwavering passion for aesthetics and an innate flair for design; she fearlessly began building her empire from scratch.
Despite facing numerous challenges along the way, her determination and resilience propelled her forward. Supported by dedicated mentors who recognised her talent and drive.
Favour honed her skills and expanded her knowledge, continuously pushing the boundaries of her craft.
With each obstacle she encountered, she emerged stronger and more determined than ever, refusing to let adversity hinder her path to success. Through her innovative approach and unparalleled creativity, she has carved out a niche for herself in the competitive world of wedding planning and designs.
Speaking on what inspired her to venture into interior design, venue styling and event planning, Favour said, “I never imagined I’d find myself knee-deep in interior design and event planning. My academic journey led me to study mass communication, with a focus on marketing and PR.
“During my university days, internships were essential for gaining experience. I landed internships at Design Week Lagos, where my fascination for interior design blossomed, and at Naira Box and The Yellow Lagos, which introduced me to the dynamic world of events in Lagos.
“The energy and excitement of these experiences sparked something within me, and before I knew it, I was hooked. I began learning the ropes of setting up events and gradually transitioned into building my own business in the field. It’s funny how life takes unexpected turns, leading us down paths we never planned, yet somehow, they feel just right.”
Despite her young age her achievements stand as a testament to her unwavering dedication and relentless pursuit of excellence. With her sights set on even greater heights, she continued to inspire others with her story of perseverance and triumph against all odds. In her innovative approach and unique strategies to carve out a niche for herself in the competitive world of wedding planning and design, Favour disclosed that, “I’ve always been enchanted by destination weddings, but I realised they can feel out of reach unless you actually travel to the country. I wanted to break away from the typical Lagos wedding scene and offer something different.
“I wanted couples to experience their special day in new and magical ways, like a fairy tale come to life. That’s why I started Intimate Weddings by Fave. I want to help couples create unforgettable memories in unconventional places – whether it’s on the beach, a rooftop, in a backyard, by the water, or in a garden and incorporate activities that would really touch the hearts of people and leave them thinking about the wedding for so long, so far we have had couples fly from South America, the UK and Canada to have their weddings here in Nigeria with us and that says one thing, we tell love stories in the most authentic and intimate way possible with amazing experiences.”
Enthusiastic and passionate about what her future is going to unveil, Favour notes that her biggest dream is to create fairy tale weddings for couples, “I want them to feel overwhelming joy every time they think back on their special day. If you’ve experienced our planning process, you know how heartfelt and thrilling it is. We guide our couples through activities that help them discover their style and ensure their wedding tells their unique love story. Our planning journey isn’t just about logistics; it’s a bonding experience for the couple. We feel their love deeply, and it inspires us as we create mood boards and plan every detail of their magical day.”
