Justice Abimbola Awogboro of a Federal High Court in Lagos has sentenced popular Nigerian cross dresser, Idris Okuneye, alias Bobrisky, to six months imprisonment without option of fine for mutilation of the Naira
The judge said the judgement would serve as deterrent to those who take delight in abusing the Naira.
The defendant was prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The court convicted Bobrisky following his guilty plea to a criminal charge brought against him by the Commission.
EFCC had on Thursday, filed a six-count charge against him.
