Oborevwori Briefs Tinubu About Killing of 16 Soldiers in Delta

* Says situation under control in Okuoma community

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State on Tuesday briefed President Bola Tinubu on the 16 soldiers that were gruesomely murdered last weekend in Okuoma community in Ughelli area of the state.

Briefing newsmen after meeting behind closed-doors with the president at the State House, Abuja, Oborevwori said the situation is under control, assuring Nigerians that there will be no more further attacks.

The governor refused to comment on the alleged reprisals allegedly carried out by the military and the number of casualties, saying being a security issue, there are certain things he cannot say in public.

He disclosed that he met with the security heads in Bomadi on Monday but has not been able to meet with the community involved because the place of the incident is completely deserted.
