US Releases Photos of Helicopter Crash That Killed Wigwe, 5 Others

United States National Transportation Safety Board has released photos of the helicopter crash that killed all six people onboard south of Las Vegas on Friday.

Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings, Herbert Wigwe, his wife Chizoba, his son, and a former chairman of Nigeria Exchange Group, Abimbola Ogunbanjo were killed in the crash. The other two victims were the pilot and the safety engineer.

The Airbus EC130 aircraft was heading to Boulder City from Palm Springs, California, when it crashed near Halloran Springs, California, about 80 miles south of Las Vega.

US authorities cited witnesses accounts that the helicopter crashed amid rainy and wintry conditions, which was later supported by NTSB meteorologists.

Reports of downed power lines in the crash area are being investigated.

The ill-fated flight was operated by Orbic Air LLC, based out of Burbank, California.
